In 2004 Working Mom launched and saw tremendous growth. We were happy to be a part of the initial launch, and in 2008 decided it was time for a fresh new face. We approached the project knowing the site now had 100+ pages and need a user friendly navigation. We chose a dynamic drop down menu.
Without moving pages indexed and doing well in the search engine, it was our challenge to remove unneccessary pages sitting on the server. We started fresh, using the logo we originally developed in 2004, and moved along the same theme of colors. Every page that was replaced or moved, was tediously accounted for in the htaccess file and resubmitted to the search engines.
Because Working Mom provides help tips and special reports, we setup a news / article script allowing easy online access for instant updating of pages such as Sabrina's Schedule, Working Mom Tips column and WorkingMom™ news highlights. Production included:
